Strength TogetHER 2- Session 8

17th October 2020.

Romance fails us and so do many friendship, but the relationship of child and parents although less noisy than all other, remains the most purest, indestructible and indelible. It is the strongest relationship on earth.

In order to talk about our relationship with our parents, Strength TogetHER Cohort 2, conducted its eighth session on the topic 'SACRED BONDS', which is facilitated by LOKOPAKAR .We all know that family is a place where no one is left out or forgotten. We had Bawana Ma'am with us to guide and moderate us throughout the session. She is a powerful and charming woman who was the marketing manager of Fightback Nepal. Currently, she is an aspiring artist.

To start with the session, we all were really thrilled to share our relationship with our parents because other things may change, but we start and end with the family.

•Our first speaker described her family relation as SORTED. She has a very profound connection with her parents especially her mother, who is her secret keeper and her father is a fun loving person. Summing up she considers her parents as her 'BEST OF FRIENDS'.

•Our second speaker says that her parents are really supportive and understanding. In her past, she fell really sick and she had given up her hope of living. During that hard time, she had her parents by her back who were her constant support. Further, she quotes that parents are one who sacrifice their whole life to make their child's future shine better.

•Our third speaker was a bit scared with her parents as she thought that they were strict. She traces her bond with her family as understanding and trustworthy.

After hearing all the stories, our moderator delivered us lovely words that would portray Sacred bonds- Relationship between parents and child-

God could not be everywhere, so he made parents.
•Purest form of love.
•Bond which passes no judgement.
•Parents are one who contribute all the love, energy, care, respect for their children without any expectations.
•Bond full of sacrifices.
•Life's greatest blessing.

It was such a delightful session with almost 15 active participants which was lived for 90 minutes via zoom. It is such a blessing to express ourselves in the world full of chaos and conflicts. We ended the session on a beautiful note,' Having somewhere to go is home, Having someone to love is family. Having both is a blessing'
