Strength TogetHER 2- Session7

19 September, 2020.

After the successful completion of 6th session which was titled as "A time i felt low", on 19th September we had our 7th session on the topic "Small things that makes me happy".

Starting with the session, all the powerful girls of cohort 2 were really very excited to share the small things that made them happy. Our moderator for the sessions is Bhawana Ma'am, a powerful and charming woman who is a marketing manager of Fightback, Nepal which aims in reducing sexual violence in Nepal and India.

I, Heena Shrestha, was really excited for this particular session as I was preparing for this blog. I am a student and I love experimenting new things.

The session started at 3.00 pm and smoothly went till 4.00 pm via Zoom app with an active participation of almost 20 girls.

• Our first speaker shared how happy she gets when the things happen according to her expectations. She also shared the happiness she gets through people when they compliment on her work and her.

• Our second speaker shared her happiness through a short story about how her friend was concerned about the things related to her happiness. She also shared the happiness she got when she saw four apps in her dad's phone which he had downloaded just to make her one passport sized photo.

• Our third speaker shared how she mostly gets happiness through small things. She shared her happiness she feel by seeing her favourite Nepali dessert "khajuri" made by her mother, and how she forgets all the stressing things after getting small happiness

• Our fourth speaker shared how happy she was when she had been complimented by the Australian delegates on her poetry. She shared us her memorable and happy moments of her life.

Our moderator was so cheerful hearing our stories and the things from which we get the happiness. She too shared her happiness and motivated us. Some of her motivating word were:

1. Understand what makes you happy

2. There may be big happiness and goal but never forget to mind the small too

3. Considering happiness is the ultimate happiness

4. There are scales of measuring happiness either expected or unexpected.

Seeing all the powerful girls with high energies, our moderator played the song "Cant stop the feeling" and we grooved to the song for some time. Really, no girls could stop their feeling.Even though we couldn't meet in the real physical world, we still danced our heart in our virtual world.

All in all the session was really fun and we lived in the moment.

I really enjoyed the session and the energy I had from the first lasted till it ended. I learnt to understand and find the small happiness too. I am very proud to be a part of this session. Altogether we had just 7 sessions, our coordinator made sure to cover all the essentials for the upgrowing girls. This journey is unforgettable. We girls are so much close by now and have formed a sisterhood.

It was an amazing session and I am looking forward for more.
